My working methods and topics in counselling & therapy

In mainly work with women in their 30s who are caught in the balancing act between high performance and self-care. My approach is client-centred and based on the methods of behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. The counselling is actively designed: I usually give you impulses or concrete ideas that you can try out between sessions. My focus is on issues ranging from rumination, anxiety, relationship problems and exhaustion to depressive episodes. I help my clients to do what matters to them.
To do this, we look at different aspects of your life.

Psychological counselling can be carried out online from anywhere with a stable internet connection. You can arrange appointments yourself and flexibly cancel or rebook them up to 48 hours before the start. I also offer evening appointments.
SUPPORT BETWEEN SESSIONS
During the counselling session, I will introduce you to new techniques and exercises. You will receive recordings of these exercises, which you can keep and continue to use after the counselling session to help you deal with difficult situations and improve your mental health.
EFFICACY PROVEN
Studies of professional online interventions for improving mental health and treating mental disorders have demonstrated effectiveness comparable to that of traditional offline interventions.

ACUTE MENTAL CRISES
In the case of acute suicidal tendencies, severe depression, psychosis or other severe mental disorders, online therapy is not right for you. In such cases, please contact a psychotherapist in your area.
What you can expect in our sessions

First arrange a non-binding, free 25-minute initial session. Finding the right “match” is not easy, and this way you can get to know me (and spare your bank account). The professional relationship between client and psychologist is one of the most important factors in our work together, and we should feel comfortable with each other. After the initial session, I will send you further information, as well as an initial questionnaire and a counselling contract, in which you will receive information on payment and booking links to my calendar. Appointments can be booked flexibly up to 72 hours before the start of the appointment and can be changed/cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the appointment.
During the 50-minute sessions, you should have a quiet, undisturbed room with a stable internet connection. Our sessions are your sacred time and you decide where we go and at what pace. Basically, my approach involves working together as a team at eye level. If you want change, it makes sense to integrate ideas and exercises from the counselling into your everyday life to enable sustainable change.

The online occupational psychology counselling takes place in 50-minute sessions. I work in a solution- and resource-orientated way and mainly with methods of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT has been scientifically proven to be effective in the treatment of various mental disorders such as depression or anxiety disorders. ACT is equally popular in counselling and coaching settings.
With ACT, the name says it all: learn to accept what you cannot change and take committed action where you want to make a difference. In practical terms, this often means looking together at situations that give rise to difficult thoughts and feelings, which then result in an impractical way of dealing with the situation.
This is where I start, taking a close look at these difficult situations together with clients and teaching them techniques to learn how to deal better with these thoughts and feelings. Practical options for action are explored in a value- and goal-orientated way. I can also provide my clients with helpful skills in the areas of effective (work) planning, organisation, communication and resource activation.
I prioritise good relationships with clients. Through my appreciative and empathetic approach, I offer a safe space in which employees can talk openly about what is bothering them.
